A couple of months ago, Michelle asked me to create some awards for her volleyball players. I had some wood cut and ready to be used as countdown blocks and so I decided to use them for the awards rather than ask my husband to cut more wood. Here's what I came up with...
I wasn't quite sure how to fit the full title of the award in such a small space, but I really love how this particular award turned out.
One end of the block had "MHS 2010" and the other a paw print. MHS happens to be where I went to high school so I loved painting the school colors again! Go Bears!
After seeing the volleyball awards, my dad asked me to create something for a group of his employees who retired this year. I was a little nervous about creating something that wasn't too cutesy for the men. So, I stuck with hammers and geometric shapes for the men and rounder, softer shapes for the women.
Over the years, his staff has kept our church buildings beautifully clean and running smoothly, they will be missed.
One end of the block displayed, "Thank You" and the other showed their years of service.
Don't forget to enter the giveaway!!! The winner will be announced on Thursday!

Your volleyball blocks are so unique and just what I'm looking for. How much and how fast. I live in Michigan and need them for my banquet on 5/30th.
