Monday's post made me think about other life mottos that I love.
This one has been swirling around in my head for about a year,
so I decided to create something with it.
About a year ago, we were discussing a talk given by President Uchtdorf titled
I haven't been able to forget something Elder Uchtdorf said.
He stated, "When our wagon gets stuck in the mud,
God is much more likely to assist the man who gets out to push
than the man who merely raises his voice in prayer
—no matter how eloquent the oration."
"Pray while you push" is how I summed it up.
There's more from the talk that I enjoyed and so I printed it on cardstock and
attached it to the back of the block.
I feel these are important words to remember as we face the challenges of life.
We can't just sit and pray for help without working towards a solution.

Quote on Back of Block:
It is often in the trial of adversity
that we learn those most critical lessons
that form our character and shape our destiny.
...When our wagon gets stuck in the mud,
God is much more likely to assist the man
who gets out to push than the man who
merely raises his voice in prayer
— no matter how eloquent the oration.
